Situated in the foothills of Colorado's

Lake Park, which is frequented by locals and visitors alike for its summertime
fishing and wintertime ice skating. One of the highest paved byways in America,
leading up the 14,130 ft (4,300 m) Mount
Evans peak, is accessible from Evergreen—heading to Idaho
Springs, through Echo
Lake and up to the mountain top. Fishers are easily occupied on trips with
Blue
Quill Angler, while golfers can tee off at Evergreen
Golf Course.
